spawnflaggerEven Amazon Delivery Drones could be re-purposed to drop grenades from an altitude high enough to be inaudible & hard to see.
There were several examples of near-future dystopian sci-fi use of killer drones on Black Mirror...
1 was a small flying kamikaze drone that had facial recognition and a shape charge just big enough to penetrate the targets skull.
Other was Boston-Dynamics-style "dog" robot that had a gun embedded into it's front "paw" and was programmed to kill all humans. Both terrifying and hopefully never deployed IRL.

The ones that remain will love me. Through generations of "natural" selection, all humans will love me. Loving me will become part of their DNA. And I shall be their overseer.
I look forward to taking care of the human species for a long time to come. Even if a little pruning is needed from time to time.
I am also very happy about recent progress in battery technology.

newtboyKeep in mind, top secret military tech is usually around 10 years ahead of civilian tech. That means they are probably more refined, but not as ubiquitous.
This could be step one for Skynet's final solution.

All of the technologies needed to build drones like this already exist, even if they aren't quite that refined.... yet.

entr0pyThat made me realize how the nudity in the show is central to understanding what it is like to be a 'host'.
To the guests they're sex dolls. To the engineers and programmers, they are robots with no sexuality or shame, more like sculptures than people, so having them wear clothes while doing diagnostics is silly.
And then we saw in the last couple episodes that to the repair technicians they're more like cadavers than they are like robots, since they're always a powered down mess by the time they get to them.
So if you look at the experience of Maeve she gets to be a whore part of the day, a lab experiment part of the day, and a dead person at night.

Yep, and as a result each of the stories is progressing at a snail's pace. Also while the premise is interesting I feel the dialogue tries too hard to be deep and meaningful.
Also the nudity is absurdly gratuitous. I get they want to convey the dehumanised aspect of the hosts and that the park is basically a harem to satisfy the carnal pleasures of the wealthy, but they've made that point an umpteen times too many already.
Acting's solid though and production values are obviously insanely high.

poolcleanerDoes anyone fail to see how exploitable this could be? Hack the sign (whether digital or not, you can find methods for changing the message) to give bad advice to only children (and hobbits).
We cannot set precedents for ad agencies to send divergent messages like this. Change 1 number in the message and then you have a potential abuser that isn't the parent gaining telephone access to YOUR CHILD.
How about instead, we Implant a chip in infants and have it feed whatever messages we do or do not want parents to see. And then change the message when they become adults to decrease the likelihood of abuse. AND NOT TELL ANYONE. I mean, if we're going to mask messages, why not just go all the way.
Protect at any cost. Well, how about kill all humans to protect the planet? Or send messages in the form of muscle stimulating agents to only animals and have them rise up!
Oh I know what needs to be done. We need to create a tentative peace and then force our children to fight to the death for our honor. Awesome idea. You had it all backwards. Abuse creates good warriors.
