What I hope Ridley realizes is that the uniqueness of the original was it's silence. Those moments where the crew were just hanging out in character, or searching around the ship for a cat, or hiding in cold quiet fear, with nothing but maybe the slight hum of the ship. It was nerve wrackingly silent at times and made you squirm.

@Sagemind definitely edited, but still funny! You can see the arm swinging around in the wide shots, I would guess they had the beer sitting on a pole basically and had the arm just hanging between the guy and the pole. Add a little motion to the beer later and there you have it

Yeah, cool! I saw a lot of pics in their "cruise album" of pairs of eagles just hanging out on a rock up close to my amazement, and that's when I was told that this was an ordinary occurence there. Who knew?

Firefox? I've been having problems with it lately. Not too long ago it started having problems loading VS pages. It might load 98% of the main page, but not the 'submit' comment section, or the sidebar. It just hangs and waits for something to load. Sometimes it takes several refreshes before I can see the whole page.

Also, I cannot submit anything from CollegeHumor with Firefox. If I try, I cannot see the 'Modify' or 'Submit Video' buttons in the 'confirm Submission' page.

This is Firefox doing it, and just for VS. I have started to use Chrome when I want VS to work fine.

NetRunner said something about this being a known bug with Firefox, but for the life is me I cannot remember anything else

What prompted this post wasn't the C punch, or the malicious downvoting of a vid of mine, or the escalating snarky talk against anyone who said they didn't like the C punch...
It was the promoting and qualitying of a vid with a naked woman, seated on a chair, head obscured. A bewb shot. On the front page. For the million plus visitors per month, or whatever we are at to see first.
I don't care about bewb shots. I have a pair.
It was the conscious decision to troll the whole site that I found offensive. It was meant to be demeaning. I felt demeaned. And it was meant to punish the site. And I'm sure it has cost the site.
Look, I have been here for years. I see sexist stuff ALL THE TIME that makes me cringe. I say nothing, because there is nothing to be said. It just ... is.
But something has happened in the past two days that crossed a line for me.

So much of this campaign is centered around "school will end soon, just hang in there" when did school become a prison sentence to be endured? I'm disliking the notion of high school more and more these days- not sure that the positives outweigh the negatives.


To me, school always felt like a prison sentence until college in '87.
