uhhh.... no. It's not a hardwood floor. you can see it's made of several small mats connected in a jigsaw kind of way. I would guess it's some sort of cork actually.

Someone over at Stanley Steemer needs to give her a lifetime of carpet cleaning. I wouldn't mind cleaning her carpet, although she looks like a hardwood kinda girl. I'm not picky.

We've had maple 3/4" hardwood for 10 years and pets the entire time. I can't see any evidence of scratching from dogs. However... the humans... holy shit they are hard on a floor. Our floor we can sand down though. This floor sounds un-refinishable.

Someone needs to be making violins, guitars, etc. with the recovered wood from the great lakes. Incredibly preserved hardwoods cured and petrified in the icy waters of Lake Superior-These instruments in the hand of master luthiers will survive 300+ years sounding better every year.....

I'd rather be placed as a linebacker in the NFL than have a guy cut my feet out from under me while going in for a dunk. I'm a light guy too, so I'd be crushed and smashed terribly every play as a linebacker against someone with more than 200lbs on me. I'd at least come out so badly bruised and hurting that I couldn't walk for over a week. I'll take that over coming down headfirst onto hardwood from several feet up.

I'm a Canadian too, so I'm accustomed to bare fist fighting on ice as a terrific national pass time. There are rules to how you hurt each other in a sport though, specifically so that people get hurt instead of injured.
