I've done it just once, and it was a little too freaky for me. I thought my glass bong was starting to melt on and around my hand, and then it looked like my hardwood floor was coming up in the shape of a hand and trying to grab me. The high only lasted maybe 5 or 10 minutes, but it was a very intense experience. As rottenseed mentioned, the onset was very rapid - there was no adjustment period. So if you do it, strap yourself in, because the ride will start quite suddenly.

I might try it again some time, but I'm waiting for the right frame of mind to come along, which I haven't had in a long time.

have always thought that the U.S. manufacturers should work on this, incorporating exacting retro-replicas, with todays safety features and performance engines, with an option package that included an all steel frame, or aircraft titanium,hell, and leather and hardwood interiors.....

Wow great stuff. I'm sure they'll learn to add aikido and jujitsu style weapon defense and attack to this technique soon as it is young. I really commend them on using hardwood floors as I have taken breakfalls on those and they can hurt like hell.

You did mention that the gi makes judo throws easier and safer but it can also result in more grappling than you would see in a normal MMA fight.
