They even used footage of that off duty MATA Security Guard boxing a shitting knucklehead that may or may not have been harassing a young woman.

But the governor was forced to veto the bill due to public outrage (strangely enough, it pissed off a lot of people here). Basically they passed a bill that would have forced abstinence ONLY education even though (I believe) we are number two behind Mississippi.

I'm dubious about that. In fact, here's the first data I came across with a google search. Check out page 15. Utah is way below average and among the lowest in the country for every year they have data, going back to the 80s. In 2005 we were number 45 out of 50 in teen pregnancies.
But then again we're not an abstinence only state. If republicans manage to change that, as they nearly did, I guess we'll have a good case study.


Strange I'll have to check that out. Of course, I'm COMPLETELY basing everything I'm saying off of what a KSL report said pre-veto (of the 2012 Utah legislature's "Abstinence Only" Bill). Perhaps they had their data misconstrued and presented it the wrong way. I'll post the KSL story if I can find it in their history; then look at our information and statistics and then see what they may have possible misread and thought it was us, for some reason--they specifically said the previous cycle year to this study; so I'm confused to.

We ALL should be "personally invested". No apology for mistaken intent can bring you back from the dead if another concerned citizen decides to pop a cap in your ass. This might happen to you. It almost happened to me.

When I was 14 back in the early 80s,I was hanging out with a friend around 4 in the morning in front of his apartment building. We were going fishing and his brother in law was supposed to pick us up. A pair of Big Guys call out to us from up the block,with a VERY Big Dog,and say something like,"What do you guys think you're doing out here?". WE see the guys,we see the dog,we look at each other and we ran inside the apartment building. We head up to his apartment and a few minutes later TWO COP CARS with lights flashing park outside and we hear people get out. We stay quiet and we hear a lot of footsteps walking up the stairs then back down again. Happily,they left and a half hour later we ride off with the brother in law. We weren't doing anything except talking and sitting on the porch,and the whole episode was scarey! I can just imagine how this poor kid felt when he sees Mr Vigilantte chasing him. And I imagine he knew people in authority really don't need a real reason to be nasty,especially to puny minorities.

I don't own TYT. In fact, the odd time I notice a Scarlet P wondering how to get that video over the 10-hump, I recommend subscribing to TYT and posting the good ones fast. TYT is easily the best channel I subscribe to in terms of consistent siftability, and I hope to coast to a gold star with it in the next few weeks or so, but whatever.

Also, I notice that I hardly ever get blocked by your TYT sifts. I actually don't think it's ever happened. It's like we have different selection criteria. Or maybe you're just slower and I block you all the time.

Apparently, people are posting on here without realizing that MANY facts about this case are released, due to the fact that NO ONE was EVER detained and arrested.

We have witnesses, facts released by the police and witnesses. We have a 911 audio call (that not only shows a fairly strong semi-racist mindset, but more importantly what got Martin killed: the voice of a paranoid vigilante looking for a fight) -- the call almost completely tells the story of what happened afterward if there was a scuffle at all. Zimmerman chased him down, pulled his gun, and did EVERYTHING the 911 dispatcher told him NOT to do. Martin on his phone call had already told his girlfriend that he thought he was being followed and that he was afraid -- with good reason. IF...IF, a fight did break out it was because Martin was terrified for his life and we now know that he was right to do so...

If you can't bother to listen to the facts that are already here then don't bother posting. There is GREAT reason why so many are angered by this incident. There is a reason why the police chief HAD TO step down. There is a reason the Feds are getting involved...

Step into reality and get off your Republican or racist high-horse; no those two are not the same thing, but it is awfully strange at which times these two decide to become bedfellows. This could be said for the police as well, but to be honest we don't know why they are going to such extremes to protect him (although the mayor is pissed the hell off; atleast in the last interview I saw with him, he didn't understand why Zimmerman wasn't arrested either -- this is probably why you saw the police chief step down...).

I'm glad atleast many on the Sift do stay caught up on these events if they decide to post (many on the Sift are fairly knowledgeable, with the trolling at a fairly low occurrence). But, much like Glenn Beck and his cronies it only requires a few or one bad apple(s) to create misinformation (just like Fox News) and then anger is created aimed in the opposite direction, yet based entirely on lies. But, that anger is just as potent and in my experience it turns into even more racism...
