Amazing Anti-Thief Security Case!

The 10 Most Common Awkward Moments on Elevators

GeeSussFreeK says...

>> ^dystopianfuturetoday:

Strangely enough, I was in a situation yesterday where I was holding travel bags, and due to the distribution of open space in the elevator, standing face away from the door was the most pragmatic option. I did feel weird for a moment, but then I felt like it was an opportunity to detach myself from my ego, like the Buddha (note: I know very little about Buddhism, so this may or may not be accurate). I embraced my break with culture norms, stood calmly and confidently, and it gave my a mild feeling of satisfaction.
I may try it again next time I'm in an elevator. Elevator Zen.

You know whats fun, go stand in the corner of the elevator with your face to the corner, like your in time out or something. People don't know how to react. Or, my dad would try to hold a very awkward conversation with his briefcase. Elevators, the greatest place for forced awkwardness!

And now imagine if he had no clip at all. That would be 100% fewer bullets. We'll just arm up our military and militarized police and get that under control. Heil Hitler! Godwined, bitches.

I'm still waiting for you to answer me on private ownership of nuclear weapons. Do you want that, or do you think there are reasonable limits on the level of weaponry that should be in the hands of an individual?

Your fighting a loosing battle there. It will only be a matter of time before doomsday level technology is smaller than a briefcase, and simple enough to make over the weekend, and sophisticated enough to erradicate entire populations. The problem about who gets what will be moot, as it already is...people have guns even where they are illegal. The real question is how do you keep humanity around and alive when a broken hearted teen can end all life in the solar system with a press of a button. That doesn't have an easy answer, and both lines of reason here fail to even cope with that, what I see as, inevitable eventuality. Weapons are only the symptom of a deep seeded violence in man, there is the problem, and only in addressing that problem will you find any true answers. Everything else is addressing leaves that blow in the wind.

The guy that filmed this is a fucking lunatic... Not that it impacts his bike attempted theft.
But still like a delusional paranoid kook that films all the time in fear of his bike being vandalized...

I doubt he films his bike all the time, its pretty obvious that he saw the guy about to steal his bike and started filming.
But you may be right about the lunatic part. Reminds me of Michael Douglas in "Breaking Down".
"You want my briefcase!! Take It!!"
Sounds like this guy has had enough. Wonder if he owns a handgun.

It really has so few uses it begs the question why would you actually want one?

Well, I'd probably prefer this over physical books (depending on pixel size). It sounds more like a Kindle replacement than anything so far.
It's thin and light, so it would fit in a briefcase nicely. Apple has never been the company for people on a budget. If $600 were a small sum of money for me then I would consider buying one (after playing with one at a store first). I doubt it would replace my netbook though.

My issue is really this though... I like my phone to do lots of extra stuff... surf the web, play games, play video etc. etc. because I have to carry it around anyway and in my pocket no less... so why not have it do lots of extra stuff. For ANYTHING else it better have some pretty darn stellar extra functionality to make me want to lug it around in a bag.

Now, this eBook Reading lark. I'm not onboard myself, still love actual books, read them every morning/night on the train to/from work... love them... I know lots of people love electronic books... but I really do love having book shelves with real honest to goodness books.

But I'm obviously not part of this 'new wave' of e book readers. But if I was I don't think I'd want to have one that is running a backlit screen with only 10 hours of battery life just to read a book, that seems very wasteful to me. I'd much rather have an e-ink screen that is passive most of the time.

So... I don't get it, don't know how it's going to find its market, because I don't think it has one. Plenty of the commentators are saying exactly the same thing... but who knows, maybe people do want this... me? No, everyone I've so far talked to? No... just... just has nothing going for it.
