Dumb Homophobic Christian Takes Stupid to New Depths

The Twain quote that I have on my business card:

"You can't trust your eyes if your imagination is out of focus.">> ^Auger8:

Ok I obviously can't show you a video as this man died before the invention of video but Mark Twain had a very thick southern accent but was one of the smartest men to ever be born in the south. Here's my proof.

A man ahead of his time and the smartest southerner I know. But I let the sift be the judge of that.

Holy crap that is an amazing level of stupidity.
Such a hate filled women. Hate for people who are smarter than her. Hate for people who are different to her.
Wow.
Now, here's a question for the sift. Can someone point me to a video of someone speaking with that accent and saying something of intelligence? Because I can only think 'STUPID BIGOT!' whenever I hear that accent, and that can't be correct, there must be smart people in the areas that have that accent.

Rick Perry - Weak, Man

shinyblurry says...

Freedom of religion is an amendment, not a rewrite. "Neither am I a bigot; what I am intolerant of is sin." - sin according to your interpretation of the Christian Bible. Therefore, intolerant on religious grounds. Therefore, a bigot.

The bible is extremely clear on what sin is. There isn't much to interpret, although many people try to make it that way.

I went to church when I was young and I believed in God, but at that age anything my mother told me, I believed. We stopped going to church and years later when I asked why, I was told that my older brothers started asking questions that my mother couldn't answer and when she realised she had a family of rational atheists, she knew better than to try.

For me personally, I was talking to my brother about Noah's Ark for some reason and I remember he said something like "you don't actually believe that, do you?". I was stunned - it had never before occurred to me that something in the Bible might not be true. That made me start questioning things and the more I thought about it, the less I believed. It took me a while to get my head around things but the more I thought about it, the more unbelievable it was. A few years later and I'd come to accept that the whole book is essentially fiction.

What you failed to do is trust God and let Him provide you the answer.

Trust in the LORD with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding

When you stopped doing that you made yourself Gods judge, and trusted in mans reason instead of Gods. You rejected God because you didn't have any faith. It doesn't sound like you even understood why you believed, let alone realized that you had a personal relationship with God. I'm sure you still know in your heart there is a God, but you're rejecting Him now.

"Wait, what??

shinyblurry: "No one should be bullied or singled out"

What?

Are you serious?!?

Are you actually trying to say that you don't single out homosexuals?

I, I ... oh, I give up."

I don't single out anyone..we've all sinned and fallen short. Neither would I go up to a homosexual and say they've done anything worse than what I've done, or what you've done. It doesn't matter who it is, or what their background is..I just witness to whomever or whatever is in front of me.

Florence + The Machine - What The Water Gave Me

yea this is horrible, "canned" new pop is really an embarrassment on the music industry.
Companies like ARK music factory <- wikipedia them
and others hire people that can halfassed sing then as with ARK they have more computer techs than musicians running them through ableton/flstudio and compression to make them halfassed acceptable then they buy songs at 100 dollars a pop, hell ARK Even advertises on craigslist for songwriters they pay 100 dollars per song or "poem" to give the "artist" which is the wrong term for it something to sing.
pop music today is pure canned crap pretty much. Companies like ARK music factory is just an overcomplicated 419 Nigerian scam... don't believe me go read up on them , they are ran by a nigerian who used to run 419 scams.
And he is now turned his scamming on the music industry

If people injoy the end result its not necacerly an issue so long as people reolize that the people to be credited with the making of the music are the enganears and producers not the person "singing".

for example say I wrote a computer program that just randomely produces music that happens to be satisfying or makes it so that annyone pushing buttons randomely or with very littel skill can prodcue satisfying music . i dont see why that would be a bad thing or why it should not be listend to or enjoyed.

I think if anything ark music factory just show how the money making aspect is tied more into exsternal factors and not nececcerly tied into the music directly.

I got the impresoin that ark music factory were prity up front with the fact that they simply produce music for people that want to pay for it regardless of there tallent. I dont get the impressoin that they are telling people that they will make it big and ritch from the music as if its an investment maby they do ?

The biggest issue with modern music is Radio , tv , film and advertising forcing me to listen to music that I don't want to listen to and worse than that they play things repeatedly over and over. its as if i was to flash a light of a specifc colour in your face all the time its just plane anoying.

Penn Jillete on raising an atheist family

ZappaDanMan says...

My father was catholic, my mother was Church of England (I believe it’s called Anglican now). I was taken to Sunday school as a child and then invited to religious teachings in 3rd / 4th grade, in which I took part.
There was one week that we learned about Noah’s ark, and of marsupials (animals indigenous to south-east Asia, more so to AU – NZ). I raised the question about whether he had to pickup / come back and deliver these animals after the floods. I was suspended from school from this exchange (one of several exchanges). Afterwards, I was put in the non-Christian/Catholic/Anglican group ... which had to be put in the school library during this weekly religious teaching (about 40 minutes).

I couldn’t be more thankful of being punted to the library today. The wealth of knowledge I gained was extraordinary and I do thank religion for bringing me there. It also made me read the bible cover to cover and made me the atheist I am today.

I do also wish my fellow atheist brothers and sisters thanks, for thier constant display and thirst for knowledge.

Regards,

ZappaDanMan

While its true that wasn't in the script, it wasn't improv, as they decided to do it since Harrison Ford was very ill and didn't want to do the fight, he said to Lucas, "Why doesn't he just shoot him?" so they decided to just do that.
>> ^saber2x:
A a great mix, but its missing one of the best unscripted scenes, In Raiders of the Lost Ark when Harrison Ford shoots the big guy with the sword, he was suppose to fight that guy but because he had the stomach flu he just shot him to end the scene and the big guy played along with it.

True, and it's my favorite part of the movie.
