That man stood up on the mic cannot hit a note to save his life. I can do better, i'm not joking, and i am not a singer. Without the backing (recorded? can't tell) the start of the song would have been flat by a tone or more on all the high bits. Is that to be my first introduction to exactly what the weird faced man called Pharrell Williams does? Shits up a song?!

Well, I'm not too in tune with the various religions, but I was thinking somewhere along the lines of the church scene from Blues Brother (for example). Kind of preaching out to the audience and incorporating singers. Screw those Westboro folks. I can't imagine them being passionate about much more than hate.

Yes not always on this show though... Midnight Special has a lot of truly live stuff as well. Yes though, this is still worthy and still worthy of the "livemusic" channel. The 2nd singer was cool in this too.

Just like that recently posted version of Heart's Magic Man, this is another live vocal over a studio recording ... that is, the singer is singin' but the band is fakin' it. Check out the rubber puck on the snare drum - always a dead give away . Still cool though!

The absolutely craziest roadie work I ever saw was at a concert for an Australian band called Johnnie Diesel and the Injectors. Great band, good songs, but the lead singer/guitarist played so hard that he would break a string every second song. Just off stage, his roadie was re-stringing his guitars like mad, and when a string would break, he would catch the roadie's eye, and throw the guitar off-stage. The roadie would throw a new guitar back, and he would keep on playing. I never saw so many guitar changes in my life.

It's like the Companion Cube singer met Mission Impossible. I mean, Tom Cruise. Is he the only guy they can put in front of a green screen anymore?
