The flight that almost killed me
What I learned about flying from that...(Flying Magazine)--many, many terrifying near-miss moments.
Near Miss by Inches With Motorcycle
Is that really a "near miss" or a near hit?

Canada Air Takeoff - Close Call
That was what the late great George Carlin referred to as "a near miss".
"Oh look! They nearly missed..."
close call??? could you define for me a direct hit?
Harrison Ford: 'I'm the schmuck that landed on the taxiway'
Given the number of near misses and accidents he's had... isn't it time for him to give his license up?

Tesla autopilot saves the day
I feel exactly the same way as you, including the angry way you present it as though you've just been nearly killed by someone on a mobile phone.
These people clearly have a cartoon-like understanding of how a thousand lbs of metal and accelerant behave in a collision. As though you get out of the wreck with a few stars whizzing round your head and you shake your head and feel great again. Stuff like that can cost lives - and if you say that to the guilty party they'll laugh at you as though it's impossible, as though no one has ever negligently killed someone in a car crash. It can cause life-changing medical complications, take away people's livelihoods.
I'm also a defensive driver, and i've still been in many near misses. What i don't understand is why aren't all these reckless distracted drivers in more accidents? Do they have some sort of idiot's immunity?
What a fuck head.
What are they fucking blind that they can't see the car barreling toward them?
This kind of turd-for-brains shit happens to me all the time. Fortunately I'm a very defensive driver and always expecting doucheclogs to come out of nowhere, so I've been able to escape death so far, but it drives me insane how disgustingly ignorant some of these motherless fucks can be.
I'm just glad that auto-braking technology is becoming the de facto standard over the next few years, but it's not happening soon enough.
Porsche Cayman S driver fail
Yes, but that (up to and including a completely blown engine) is generally seen as preferable to careening at high speed into a large object like a tree, overpass, or another car. And/or the near misses, scrape damage, and missing wheel seen here.
If the throttle is stuck, wouldn't putting it into neutral immediately redline the engine?
school of life-what comes after religion?
If you look at the actual statistics, atheists are the one group nearly missing in the criminal grouping. They make up well over 10% of the population, but only .02% of the prison population (.07% in Federal prison). The facts kind of ruin your 'morality comes from religion' argument.
The same goes for divorce and lack of education (a major factor in criminal behavior). Both are far more prevalent among "Christians" than atheists.

If only it were true that 1/2 of kids would grow up without religion, we would be moving in the right direction, sadly that's not true.
About 1/2 of kids in the US today will grow up with out religion. We ARE seeing what is replacing the aspects noted in the video.
Marriage had gone from 73% in the 60 to 46% today. 55% today families have remarried / single parent or no parent as opposed to 30% in the 60s.
The moral fiber needed to stay married is gone.
Abortions are off the hook, but decreasing lately,
gangs, crime, porn, hookups, sex all more morally acceptable today. IS this a good thing for society as a whole? Sex and hooking up on the side might be nice but when it is so rampant is it really a social good?
Are we truly kinder to each other? More willing to help or do we tell the government to step in?
The direction of morality is indeed heading in the wrong direction.
Stunningly real graphics
Can't believe I nearly missed this post. Seriously, wow !!!
