Except that it's not. I can buy the argument that the "Ron Paul Patriots" were a small libertarian populist movement that used the tea party and Boston harbor as organizing themes. As soon as the corporate shill machine started screaming tea-party, they threw those guys right into the harbor, and the grass roots populists have not been seen under that moniker since.

The now corporate-funded proto-fascist splinter groups that call themselves "tea party _____", and the "movement" they constitute, are run by wacka-loons of this type who really should not be taken any more seriously than the US Maoist party.

To me, Sam Harris is a thinker, but its not because I'm "on the left" or because he is, its because he fucking thinks. I dont really care if he cheers for Sarah Palin, if his ideas are interesting and good, they are interesting and good. Why the fuck does every thinking person need to conform to your idea of some "leftist agenda"?

The use of torture is to me a question with a weird property: Its difficult to answer in principle, but easier to answer in reality. The ticking bomb example has probably never happened in real life, probably never will. The other thing is that if it ever happens, torture probably wouldn't work: imagine you had like 1 hour till the bomb goes, you got the bad guy, and start torturing, whats to stop him from giving in after 15 minutes, only to give a false address, and have the police waste another 45 minutes?

So basically I disagree with Harris on the torture question, so there you have it, qm: leftists commies disagree! its like Hitler and Stalin all over! (Except Hitler was a rabid right wing loon, but who cares, thats just in liberally biased reality.)

Yeah that one was great. I can't believe they burned the house and store down and couldn't preserve it, would have been so cool just to see pictures from within. And that things could have been so well preserved, I was amazed at the descriptions.

It sucks that stuff like "big government", "taxes", "civil rights" are basically buzzwords that a particular wing has stolen. Big government is a bad thing, but with all the loons shouting it in the streets, if you say that you're branded a loon too.

Hey news lady, stop calling it a "debate". There is no debate on this.

There is only accepted scientific fact and a bunch of loons screaming their idiocy so loud they hope no-one is actually listening to how stupid their message is.

Calling it a debate only legitimises them.

This man's website doesn't allow for comments, wonder why? Maybe because he is a either a loon or a con man.

PS. I would rather pay $1 in taxes than $2 for healthcare. To say your taxes pay for jungle gyms without mentioning the benefits to the cost of health care is a con or ignorant at best. Also one must remember that treating your workers like shit to save money also means that those workers will have less money to spend as consumers thereby hastening your company's demise.
