"People search for the meaning of life, but this is the easy question: we are born into a world that presents us with many millenia of collected knowledge and information, and all our predecessors ask of us is that we not waste our brief life ignoring the past only to rediscover or reinvent its lessons badly. Congratulations! Your comment has just received enough votes from the community to earn you 1 Power Point. Thank you for your quality contribution to VideoSift.
Your unsifted "Obama fires GM CEO" video was removed due to a copyright claim, just a heads up.
i checked out your re-posting.
much better, clearer and far more concise.
you gave a much fuller context on the situation, and that video is a very powerful video.i just hope your first post does not taint the excellent work you followed up on.
i still stand behind my words,i was angry, and you obviously were seeking a visceral response,so i gave you one.
but i also can recognize when someone is truly attempting to get something across that is important to them, and has the where-with-all to change tactics to get that point across.
good job.
through the years i have been popped in the nose for jumping in without much thought, and i am the better for it.even here on the sift people have called me out, while uncomfortable at the moment,a bruised ego heals pretty quickly.
in the end it is about communication, sharing not just ideas but experiences and knowledge.
here are two of my favorite videos by people i admire greatly:
noam chomsky
http://www.videosift.com/video/Noam-Chomsky-on-Freedom-and-Future
arundhati roy
http://www.videosift.com/video/We-Featuring-the-Words-of-Arundhati-Roy
while you may not agree with their words, you have to admire their ability to bring to light very important issues without romancing our most base of emotions.words are a means to creation and illiteration, they are MINDED things.
please,
never lose that passion you have,i greatly admire that, just temper it with the understanding that the people you are trying to reach may not have the same knowledge, understanding or perception that you may have.
use an open hand, not a 200 lb sledgehammer.
sound fair?
i look forward to your posts my friend,
till next time.
namaste.
No, just 'cause you're a fucking retard. Mainly for referring to "Americans" as some sort of all-encompassing group. Seriously un-enlightened.
For the record, I'm not American.

budzos,
Why does this link make me a douche? Because I called a group you belong to cowards? Because you were upset at the video? I don't get it.
dystopianfuturetoday,
Please show the place in my post where I am equating my personal politics to the struggle in Iran. I read it again and I can't see it.
enoch,
I can't post this video because it is too graphic. Your comment is that I am a troll. Why am I a troll when I post relevant content and write how it makes me feel along with it? This video makes me angry, as it appears to make you. Question is why are you angry at me for showing it to you?
Farhad2000,
Again, I don't see how you got this from my post, can you explain that? I explained why I posted the video, and then I explained why I called Americans cowards, I never said "Iran = America". Still, lets address it. This protest was triggered by election fraud, unless I am missing the point (if so please help me out). You don't think theres election fraud in America, at the presidential level none the less? If not fraud, politicians being bought and sold? Is it not different in degree, not kind?
All,
Why are you projecting your feelings from this video on ME? As opposed to Iran, America, or yourself? It seems as if rather than internalize this, you would just brush it aside (onto me) ...just as in other areas of life. Ironically, this is the crux of the problem.
YOU are responsible for the world we live in.

I dunno. I leave it up to you then. I'm kind of anal about tags and channel assignments, but if you think subtracting the Parody tag will enhance the video's appeal then I won't object. Personally I don't think it will matter, and therefore you might as well stick with the truth, but that's just me.
In reply to this comment by imstellar28:
i know its a parody, but don't ya think the parody tag kind of ruins the fun? demon_ix was getting all work up about it while watching only to realize at the end it was a parody.
In reply to this comment by kronosposeidon:
It's an obvious *parody, even demon_ix admitted it after viewing the whole video ("this video is a parody of"). Therefore reinstated.

I think you expect me to say 'Yes, because they had guns'.
But my actual answer is 'No, because they just sat in their car and told us to leave.
I don't think you'll ever see the point. You think that if you have a gun you're safe, and that everyone can have guns because then everyone is safe. But all it means is that more people die from guns.
In reply to this comment by imstellar28:
Did you feel safer next to the cops, and if so why?
In reply to this comment by spoco2:
Nope, because I live in a country with sensible gun control laws. (Australia)
Actually, the only time I've really feared for my wellbeing just by being in an area was when me and some friends somehow ended up in Compton, LA at night, and had the police bring us over to their squad car and tell us that we'd better get out of that area pretty quickly if we didn't want to be dead soon. Hurray for guns, hurray for everyone being armed, it makes you all so much safer.
In reply to this comment by imstellar28:
Just guessing, you've never been close to violence have you?
In reply to this comment by spoco2:
You keep repeating your mantra of 'you need guns to defend against other guns'.
You keep doing that if it makes you happy.
In reply to this comment by imstellar28:
A whoooole lot easier to kill people, and lots of them, who don't have guns, that is.
In reply to this comment by spoco2
To say that people have been able to kill people before the advent of guns is stating the absolute bleeding obvious, doesn't change the fact that guns make it a whoooole lot easier to kill people, and lots of them, quickly. And easier to accidentally kill people, or yourself for that matter.
