In 'N Out (and not the fun kind)
You may have noticed over the past several months that my attendance at my online home (here, of course) has been off and on, i.e., I’ll pop in for several days, then pop out for several days, and so on. Well I just want to let you all know that I’ve been busy with work a lot these days, thus limiting my free time. When I do have free time I’m doing my best to spend as much of it with my son, because he is the most important thing in my life. So if it comes down to playing around at VS or spending my time with son, it’s no contest, really.
I’ve been kind of grouchy off and on too, and when that happens I don’t want to come here and be an asshole to people. I’d rather stay away than be pissy. This place has had enough drama lately, so I don’t want to make things worse.
Anyway I’m just sharing with all of you because I don’t want anyone to think I’m mad at VS in general or anyone here in particular. VideoSift not only aggregates some of the best videos on the internet, but also some of the best people. It’s a pleasure to know so many of you. I’m proud to play my small part in making this place what it is, so I don’t want anyone to think I’ve got it in for VS these days. I’ve just got other shit going on, that’s all.
So as I’ve already told several of you, you’ll see me when you see me. And I mean that in a good way. 
EDIT: My "appearance" in the Sift Lounge as idle for the past few weeks is an error. I even proved it to schmawy by telling him to see if I was logged in by cross-checking the 'Current Users' list on the Sift Talk page. Like I said, it's a big error. I'm not a loser like blankfist, I swear.

EDDGood to know - I was about to PM you asking if this was the case. It's pretty much the same for me with work, but at least I don't have any kids yet. You're definitely doing the right thing.

Especially good to know you're busy at work, just tell us it's not because your work is outsourcing your job to an overseas company, and they need you to train your replacement before you go.
