the urantia book-an introduction

i had a friend who was one of the smartest people i had ever met,a chess master,master metalsmith and had not one,but TWO phd's.

and he introduced me to this book "urantia",which was bigger than the bible,and good lord was it boring,yet he could recite any passage from any part of the book.

i found the book to be silly,and overly complex,but the main take away i got from the book was that the universe was teaming with life,intelligent life and that instead of all the religious and mystical implications we have all become aware of.the universe was actually a directed creation and was controlled by a massive bureaucracy,in which we were all a small part of.

this was when i realized my brilliant,and scary smart friend..was also kinda crazy.

if you have never heard of this book,give this a watch.
