WTC/911 smoke seen from Space station

An interesting video of astronauts watching the smoke rising from New York from space. Gives it a new perspective, somehow.

How far away are they, typically (Iss/shuttle)? I think I can make out some depth on the smoke as the camera moves about. Or maybe it's just the shadow.

The ISS orbits at around 200 miles I think. Especially with a big zoom its close enough to see depth to that smoke...and to mountain ranges it passes over.
