Victory

(1981) Also known as Escape to Victory; what starts as an idea of a friendly exhibition match between an allied WWII POW camp and German officers, becomes a Nazi propaganda tournament. The Allies use the game as a means to escape during half-time, but pride makes them want to return, even though they are far behind score-wise.
Besides actors Michael Caine and Sylvester Stallone, the movie also featured real footballers such as Bobby Moore (England) Osvaldo Ardilles (Argentina) and oh, yes, Péle (Brazil)

its a British national treasure farhad (staple for christmas scheduling on the TV). Although its known here as 'Escape to Victory'.

By the way, it was rumored Sylvester Stallone insisted that his character score the game-winning goal in the film, as he felt he was the biggest star. The non-American crew was finally able to convince him of the absurdity of the goalkeeper scoring the winning goal, and the penalty shot was specifically written to placate his ego.
Of course, who knew we would later have the skills of Paul Robinson?
