♫ Until the Last Moment ♫ ... Yanni

Yanni is a Greek keyboardist and composer. He was born in Kalamata, Greece. He is a self-taught pianist who began his musical career by giving recitals for family members. Early in his life, he was also a competitive swimmer in Greece and set a national record in the 50-meter freestyle competition. He later attended the University of Minnesota and earned a B.A. in psychology. After graduation, Yanni chose to try a career in music, although he could not read music and had no formal training. Using his own form of musical shorthand, he began writing original works.

He does come from a region best known for their olives. Kalamata olive oil is by far, the best for flavour, aroma, and finish. Greece is lovely, full of life and healthy folk, great weather and history.....OHHH, Yanni! ummmmmmm, man didn't those Turks mess some shit up over in Greece, terrible that. But they did come together on some grrrrrreat musak in the 20's and 30's, Greeco-Turkish almalgum, that could have only happened with the turmoil of the feuding....Ohh Yanni, sorries, easiliy distracted.....eeeeyeah, he can really tear up that synth, blows that John Tesh girls' Ken doll hair off!
