Uncensored version of the only banned Tom and Jerry episode

Tom and Jerry encounter some "cannibals" on an island. This 1951 short has been rarely seen on television due to it's rather racist portrayal of the island natives.

Hmmm. While it may be censored today, I doubt it was of any controversy when it came out. If you've ever seen any TV shows or movies from the 50's, then you know this is nothing.
I saw an episode of Blondie in which there was a black bellboy that was portrayed as the most stupid and ignorant human ever. Basically, he was a slave in a uniform.

This one may be the only banned one, but they've censored many of the ones we see today. There is a reoccurring character of a black lady who owns Tom in some episodes. Her voice at once was a stereotypically a "mammy" sounding one back then that now has been replaced with a more modern accentless woman's voice. (or a more acceptable black woman's accent)
I hate that, because the old voice was funny just as "mammy" was funny. It's not racist.

Hattie McDaniel was the first black woman to win an Oscar from her performance of Mammy in Gone With The Wind. Imagine how her character would be now if someone overdubbed her voice w/ Oprah. Looses the charm does it not?
