Tom Dempsey 63 yard Field Goal

With two seconds left on the clock Tom Dempsey kicks a 63 yard field goal sending the Saint to victory over the Lions (19-17), and putting himself in the record books by shattering the old NFL field goal record of 56 yards. The record has since been tied once by Jason Elam in 1998.

Many say Dempsey's unusual birth defect was to credit, as he was missing the toes on his right foot, something his shoe reflected. He also appears to be missing a good bit of his right arm.
