To See You Is To Love You

To See You Is To Love You is a re-edit of Alfred Hitchcock's Rear Window with all the windows taken out.

In the original film, the central protagonist, a photographer called L.B. Jefferies (played by Jimmy Stewart) is temporarily confined to a wheelchair in his apartment, where he observes his neighbours through the windows in the building across his courtyard.

In To See You Is To Love You, all shots of the view from the window are removed, and the entire film focusses on the gaze and gestures of the central actor. Jeffries never leaves the apartment, the audience never leaves Jeffries.
