I'd say that's terrible actually, perhaps even godawful.

The kid is, however, quite a prodigy. I just hope that overexposure to smooth jazz doesn't terminally sully what might otherwise one day be a great musician. Smooth jazz is the devil's music, and is at the root of most of society's ills. It leads directly to white collar crime.

He's playing smooth jazz because most other genres of music have extremely basic, dull bass parts.

Without the influence of dynamic chord structures and funky slappin'..
this kid would probably be playing "smoke on the water" in an endless loop in his room still.

Tho you're right, smooth jazz was the bane of my existence from the age of 6 to about 15.
