The right stuff--Tammi Jo Shults lands SWA 1380

"Tammie Jo Shults, reportedly one of the pilots responsible for landing the Southwest Airlines flight 1380 that experienced an engine explosion earlier today, was also one of the first women pilots in the Navy and one of the first women to fly the F/A 18 fighter jet." (Foxtrot Alpha Blog)

The port engine destroyed itself; fragmented and the pieces killed a mother of two sitting on the plane.

The pilot was ex-Navy--she never got to fly in combat (restricted women's roles then) but did become an Aggressor pilot.

Her voice is so calm it's surreal.
