From the original videographer:
"Captain Booya's cigarette boat jumps big wave in San Francisco.
Shot by Pete Koff / avenuemultimedia.com Jan 19th 2013 during a big swell at Ocean Beach. I was out filming with by friend Dave surfing, he caught one wave and got hammered and had to come in. Then here comes Captain Booya hotdoging around the waves. A sneaker set of large waves came through just as he was driving the boat a little to close to the beach. This was also the day before the Mavericks surf contest. Watch the video for the results!
The boat is a 35ft Donzi hitting approx 15ft wave with some speed.

Follow up:
This was apparently the guy's second $900k Donzi speedboat---clearly has a lot of money; clearly has no idea how to handle waves off of San Francisco's Ocean Beach. Cracked the hull (beyond repair), hurt his passengers---is lucky he wasn't caught by a breaking set in the mythical (and non-existent) "South Channel"...
Woohoo channel because; well, "Woohoo"!!!
