siftbotsays...Moving this video to arvana's personal queue. It failed to receive enough votes to get sifted up to the front page within 3 days.
arvanasays...Hmm, I though there was enough geekery on the Sift to make this popular. Maybe it just needs a little *begging for attention.
siftbotsays...Sending this video to Beggar's Corner to plea for a little attention - beg requested by original submitter arvana.
quantumushroomsays...Lucky guess.
uhohzombiessays...Yep, didn't catch this the first time around. Holy crap, I thought a regular Rubiks was bad. Whoever decided to produce these is one sadistic bastard.
8977says...Is there any way to know that this isn't like the Michael Gondry feet video?
dgandhisays...This cube is not absurdly hard. Any n*n cube where n>3 can be generalized to be logically the same as a 3*3 cube, as soon as you consolidate the sides. You will notice he spends the first 6min just grouping the faces into one color. The complexity of that task is not in the same league as solving the 3*3, it's tedious, but not overly complex.
I would argue against a Gondry style reverse vid on the grounds of occam's razor, this is completely possible, and not flashy enough to be worth faking, due to the complexity of reverse wiring the counter, and syncing the sound.
