The Twilight Zone -- "The Shelter"

A classic TZ episode about a family that has a fallout shelter, and their neighbors who don't. When the radio announces that unidentified objects are incoming, everybody goes apeshit trying to force their way into the little shelter, first trying to talk their way in, then turning to violence. This one was parodied by The Simpsons in the episode about the asteroid heading for Springfield.
