From their defining album The Queen is Dead, this song bristles with energy from Morrissey's acerbic vocal ("Sweetness, I was only joking when I said I'd like to smash every tooth in your head"), Johnny Marr's syncopated guitar chops (played by "fifth member" Craig Gannon in this clip, with Marr playing the lead line) and Mike Joyce's machine-gun drumming.

Marr called this "my Jumpin' Jack Flash".
