bonus trivia!
my girlfriend was telling me that the singer for The Shins lives in a house that Elliot Smith once lived in, and he didn't know this until an old girlfriend of Smith's recognized him and mentioned it. shout out to portland!

the lyrics are nice, but somewhat ... inscrutable.
