"The Room" stars Tommy Wiseau, also the film's writer, director and producer. Hailed as a "vanity piece gone terribly awry - and to the extent of hilarity", The Room has a growing cult following where midnight screenings in Los Angeles have audience participation unseen since The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

The film was shot simultaneously in 35mm and HD because Wiseau "was confused about these formats".
