A waitress taking your credit card payment can clone your card in seconds and cost you a lot more than your meal.

More power to her....Pay $50 bucks, get a new card, she gets breast implants or a bog-screen TV, and the machine grinds on twards doom and gloom for some other iteration of what is to come......

The problem with using a stolen credit card in the next county or half-way around the world is a lot of, if not most, credit card companies monitor such transactions and require the real credit card holder to approve such transactions first. However, that doesn't stop that credit card from being used in the same town or city the real holder lives in.

A good solution is not to use your credit card in that way, or in fact, not to use them at all. They really are pretty fallible little devices, not to mention if they aren't the debit card type of credit cards, the interest rates are expensive.
