The Mini-Munsters (1973) - Unsold TV Pilot

18:58 - Worth watching just for the poem that helps break Spot (the gentle dragon that lives under The Munsters' stairs) free from the oil tycoon-gangster dungeon:

Algae saw the bear,
The bear saw algae,
The bear was bulgy,
The bulge was algae.

If you aren't aware, it's a science based poem describing the algae that grows in polar bear fur when they are living in warmer weather (like a zoo or climate changing region) -- so basically it's an extinction poem.

This video is science driven liberal propaganda from the 70s. Be proud of your liberal heritage -- this preceded Captain Planet.

yt description:

"First aired as an installment of "The ABC Saturday Superstar Movie," this "Munsters" spin-off (with only Al Lewis reprising his role) served as the pilot for a Saturday morning series which never materialized. According to unverified online sources, it originally filled an hour-long timeslot but this truncated half-hour version was broadcast in the '80s.

"Written by Arthur Alsberg and Don Nelson, who later wrote "The Munsters Revenge" and produced by Fred Calvert, of "Thief and the Cobbler" infamy. Credit for this uber-rare rip goes to rawb181.

"Disclaimer: I have put this jumpy, low-quality VHS dupe on YouTube as a courtesy to fans and do not claim ownership of the material. If there's a problem, please contact me directly to have the video removed. Thank you."
