The Big Brother State

'Big Brother State' is an animation about surveillance society with examples of trusted computing and CCTV.

About what politicians claim to be protection of our freedom but what we refer to as repressive legislation.

Since terrorism has become a global threat, especially after 9/11, governments all over the world have started enforcing laws which, so
the governments say, should increase national security.

These laws obviously aim at another goal: the states gaining more and more control of their citizens at the cost of our privacy and freedom.

Anything new has it's down sides and anything of any value can and will be used by people with reprehensible motives for deeds of daring deplorability... but that doesn't mean the thing they're using or misusing is in itself a bad thing and should be put a stop to. Not just anyone should be entrusted with a handgun, thus not just anyone should be entrusted to make use of surveillance cameras. It's a mixed bag and I do think these cameras have a place, especially for the benefit of providing evidence against those who have caused damage to other people.

It's a mixed bag of pros and cons is what I'm saying. This video is telling only one side of it. However, it makes a good discussion piece.
