The Animated Calvin & Hobbes

An Italian film student has done a really excellent animated Calvin & Hobbes short using illustrations by Bill Watterson (traced and modified, I'm assuming). Very true to the original! Except for the Italian voiceover, that is. But then again, I suppose if you first read it in Italian...

I know people always applaude Bill Watterson for not selling out and merchandising his creations (including tv shows), but god damn, I love Calvin & Hobbes and ALWAYS wanted MORE !
this film was a great go at bringing them to life in true Watterson fashion. great job I think (i didn't even mind the Italian VO )
Robot Chicken has a funny take on Calvin in Hobbes too, but in obviously a style of comedy

As a tribute to Watterson's work, this is quite amazing.

It can only be a tribute. Anything else would be copyright infringement, according to Watterson's own strict licensing practices.
