Tesla Motors fully electric roadster

Zero to sixty in 3.9. Nothing is sacrificed. This company just unveiled its Model S, which looks like it might be the silver bullet as far as high-performance fully electric cars. Read more here. I wish I could have found a non-douchebag filled press video of that model.

With a name like Tesla Motors, I'm kinda disappointed it doesn't come with a death-ray.

This really is an amazing =Production= vehicle (not some university x-thing, not some sci-fi hydrogen hokum) that should get FAR more national exposure than it's getting.

Hopefully with the model S, their just-announced mid-price offering for 2011, they'll do some serious marketing and let people know about it.

One of the benefits not mentioned, because it's all-electric it has only a handful of moving parts.

Plus the model S looks really nice! :
