First off...

Most states don't have a stop and Identify laws.

Most of the time the cops have to have Probable Cause to ask for identification (unless driving) anyone. When I was a security officer I always assumed that every one was a citizen, or here legally. Why, you ask. Being suspicious of everyone's legality is a waste of time. I was to busy being suspicious of everyone in general.

If I had to do anything, in the process of doing my job I would find out if someone was legal or not. Meaning that they had to do something against policy and or law for me to go on and start questioning them.

I think that these laws put officers in a bad place.
