Students climb Machu Picchu; oh, and they're blind

The expedition is led by world-renowned mountain climber Erik Weihenmayer, who is the first blind person to reach the summit of Mt. Everest, working with Global Explorers. While in Peru, the group will experience the natural beauty of Peru and be immersed in Incan culture. As part of their program, they will also perform a service project for a local community. This team of visually impaired and sighted students will be working together to overcome physical and psychological obstacles and reach new heights as they climb mountain passes as high as 15,744 ft.
