8296says...A huge influence to many ; but in rock music he is fairly popular for influencing the krautrock movement of Germany in the early 70's such as Can, Amon Duul II and possibly most important of all, Faust.
alizarinA popular example of music made with tape splices was The Beatles song Being for the Benefit of Mr.Kite off Sgt Peppers. The Calliope music towards the end came from cutting up pieces of tape from a Calliope song throwing them up in the air and splicing them back together (so the story goes).
