I like Olbermann, but his "outrage" here falls a little flat with me. What he is decrying is nothing new. It's the Republic party just conducting business as usual. They just understand that a large percentage of the people in this country will believe, or at least support, anything if you just play on their fears. I don't think Olbermanns' audience are those people. Next thing they'll be telling people is that it's Monty Hall's fault "the country has ended up the way it is".
