I'm surprised you've not explained the story behind the song (and the video could do with more clips of Nancy Whang too!)

look I can bore you with my useless knowledge all day but I've got a presentation to write.......... But as you brought it up,
The singer in soulwax (also Half of 2many djs) is in a relationship with the keyboard player in lcd soundsystem (the aforementioned Nancy Whang). Anyway, he goes over to New York to do some recording (payed by the record company) but just fucks around for however long. They then bash out this track in a few hours, hence NY excuse.

This is probable not completely true, but it sounds good to me.

Possibly my favourite Soulwax/2 Many DJs produced project...and a great socio-political video to boot (plus Nancy Whang [*insert phallus joke here]).
