From the 1998 movie "Slam" which tells the true story of Saul Williams, perhaps the greatest modern poet. It won at Sundance and Cannes. If you haven't seen it, netflix it soon. This poem is what started his rise to fame; black or white, it is pure verbal inspiration .

I think it's good work, but I don't think he's the "best" there is -- he's got a flow with rhthm and rhyme, sounds more like freestyle slam than "poetry" in a formal sense.
