Rope Jumping: those crazy Russians

Invented by Dan Osman in the US, the Russians made rope jumping a group activity, thus something you can do with your hot Russian girlfriend:

That's a nylon rope too, not a bungee cord. Your survival relies on the arc of your descent, not a slow deceleration.

I don't think it looks that dangerous. You can see that they have fastened the rope at the end of the crane, while they jump from the middle of it. So the rope is actually taut from the start of the jump. As such, it is more like some badass tire swing. I would guess there's more danger of colliding with stuff than getting your limbs torn off.
