Ron Paul on Capital and Capitalism

"Can we solve our economic problems with neverending "liquidity injections"? If you have more debt and inflation than actual capital, do you really have capitalism? "
9907says...

Why the hell can't the American people at large see the value of having someone truly intelligent & knowledgeable in office instead of putting in the popular kids, not that Obama isn't intelligent. But I don't think he'll do as much good as someone like Ron Paul would have.

Memoraresays...

Ron Paul speaks Truth but here's the problem:

the world will never Ever EVER go back to the gold standard, or classic liberalism, or follow the Austrian School of Economics.

As right as he may be, he argues for a system that will never exist (or never be allowed to exist, however you want to state it), which is why he's not taken seriously.

If he were taken seriously, that system could be made to exist. Saying "that won't happen, so we won't try to make it happen" is a classic self-fulfilling prophecy. Defeatists never win.
