Ride for Heart 2007 - Biking on Toronto highways

This little promo clip - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4bDBuGl9_4g - does a neat little job of explaining why two of Toronto's main downtown highways were shut down all morning.

Almost 15,000 cyclists, including Krupo (me!), took part in this Ride.

And what struck me absolutely was the number of people I saw doing little video clips during the ride itself. In the eight years that I've been taking part in this event, this was the first time I ever noticed people doing video recordings. Sure, I myself have taken photos in the past, but there were TONS of people making recordings.

I might sift up one or two more clips if I find some even better ones - it's amazing that there's so many people simply documenting everything. Actually, it's really nothing new to Veteran Sifters, I suppose - but it's still a kick to see this happening in a part of your life where you're not used to seeing it.

I chose this one because it's a pretty steady recording and a minute in you can notice that the camera shows something our eyes don't notice: Toronto's electronic traffic signs have a crappy refresh rate - I had no idea. That's also why I popped on the geek tag. :)
