Return of the Living dead, directed by Dan O'Bannon (look this motherfucker up! Star Wars fx, wrote Alien for Ridley Scott, etc.) based upon John Russo's novel -- involved in Night of the Living Dead and acquired the rights to the "Living Dead" which is why George A. Romero stopped using it in the titles of his movies.

This movie was intentionally made to be comedic. O'Bannon made these script changes. Originally intended for Tobe Hooper who couldn't direct because he was working on the BADASS flop Lifeforce, a Lovecraftian Space Vampire apocalypse movie.

Tarman puppeteering done by Jim Henson puppeteer Allan Trautman.

The sequel is alright; funnier, almost like a Peter Jackson movie. You can skip all of the rest of the movies, they blow donkey balls.

Music by synthpop band SSQ. I originally used a 45 Grave song, but the quality was crap and this showcases some of the best moments of the movie, including the crosssectioning of the earth as the "zombie plague" rain seeps into the earth...

SSQ - Tonight (We Make Love Until We Die) lyrics:

In darkness you will find me
I dance among the dead
But very soon I'll need to hunt the scent of blood instead

Rising from your earthbed
It thickens in the air
A smell both sweet and rancid, I know that you are near

Tonight, we'll make love till we die
Tonight, we'll make love till we die

I know you think I'm nasty
But I am no common girl
I once slept with the devil, it was really no big thrill

The passion of the killers
Who lie in wait for me
Just show me my own meaning of death in ecstasy
Tonight, we'll make love till we die
Tonight, we'll make love till we die
Tonight, we'll make love till we die
Tonight, we'll make love till we die

I want you to seduce me with your terror in the cold
Make love and let me bleed to death before I get too old

I am not your enemy, and surely not your friend
But share with me your morbid love, we are the living dead

Tonight, we'll make love till we die
Tonight, we'll make love till we die

Tonight, we'll make love till we die
Tonight, we'll make love till we die
Tonight, we'll make love till we die
Tonight, we'll make love till we die

Tonight, we'll make love till we die...
