Rescuing a Climber - Banff National Park

(youtube) First-hand video footage of Visitor Safety Specialists from Banff /Yoho/Kootenay National Parks conducting a technical helicopter "long-line" rescue. The lead climber of a rock climbing party has taken a 60 foot fall and suffered multiple injuries. They are four pitches up "Dan's Delight", a 5.7 rock climb on Cascade Mountain near the town of Banff, Alberta. More information: http://www.parksmountainsafety.ca

Just re-read The Eiger Sanction recently. Chills me to know that not too far in our recent past, this guy was certainly a dead man. Upvote for those in our species that decided to rescue.
