Rapper, Brother Polite, on why he's an atheist. "They sold me on a half truth". Appears to be a phone cam of a TV broadcast, so might not stay up long...
His statements on how all the pastors, ministers, believers, etc would be speaking with one voice and in one accord is one of the key points that I had an issue with after my deconversion (why the deconversion itself was brought about by the hypocrisy of the Christian/Republican right, it was many other things that convinced me it had much more wrong with it than that). Forgetting there are over 7,000 different faiths in the world, most claiming to have exclusive access to the truth, there are something like 33,000 denominations of Christianity in the world... granted most of those are subsets of one another with very minor differences. It's the fact there are so many major differences that presents a problem between Catholic, Orthodox, Protestant, Pentecostal, Evangelical, etc. A perfect God with a perfect Word would be able to communicate better... and no amount of BS how those differences are caused by imperfect people trying to interpret His Word will make any logical sense. There is more consistency on how people use Windows than on how Christians believe and act in regards to worshiping God. A perfect God would be able to communicate perfectly, and leave no vague it could be read this way or that type BS just because people aren't perfect.
While he may be on point about faith, he's known to be off on lots of other areas. He believes in segregation most notably.
