What percentage of military men have respect for (much less see as equals) military women? Perhaps the sifters with military backgrounds can fathom a guess?

It is not unreasonable to assume one-half of Congress has only contempt for the US military and will do anything to make it look awful, if only to please their warped constituents.

Military personnel are more disciplined than the civilian population. They are taught history and tradition (or at least taught these things matter) and their morals and values tend to be higher than those of civilians if only because the rigors of the job test their character daily.

There are bad seeds in every organization; hearings like these typically end up being politically-motivated blanket condemnations of the Service. Rep. Harman's calling rape in the military an "epidemic" proves this point.

that's right, if that military woman wasn't wearing her uniform like that she wouldn't have been raped. she was asking for it, that little slut. it's their fault for having a vagina that so many reported rape, as is the fault of the countless others that *didn't* report it.

In ethics class, we had a debate over this. I still stand firm in my belief that Female troops need to be kept separate.

Not to warp the fact that they should be treated with respect and equally, because they can soldier just as well as a man can.

However: by adding them to the rotation of regular troops they up the chances of rape or assault just because. Stress, lack of food, and sleep are already enough on the mind. But the ultimate training technique deprivation of sex, contradicts female troops in this environment.

I know, that they deserve to be equal but this situation needs to be solved before they should be integrated.

On another note any person who is under threat of any thing should do like any human would do, establish dominance. There are a massive influx of female marine officers at basic school, this is very excellent.
