ponceleonsays...Another dead giveaway is that they were asking him questions specifically about reincarnation... they had that on their minds even before they supposedly "discovered" this evidence...
Research into it is another giveaway. There is not way to know if they fed him some of the details and just asked him "do you remember this?"
Clearly the parents are excited at the "specialness" of the kid and as he sees their reactions, and wants to continue to please them and feel special, just affirms whatever they put in front of him.
A real test would be to give him an actual multiple choice test the way they do with the "reincarnations" of the buddha. Give him 100 items, only one of which is of significance. Let him not only choose that item, but tell us why it is significant and then I'll be a bit more impressed. Mommy and daddy saying "do you remember such and such" just doesn't seem that impressive in comparison.
