jmzerosays...Normally gelato does have milk - and I don't think it's a mark of quality (or something) for a gelato to have none; it's just an option. Normally gelato places will have milk and non-milk items, with the non-milk ones usually called sorbets (or whatever the equivalent Italian word is). Even with the woman in this video, I think her implication is just that some of her flavors have no milk.

ThylanA few years ago in Florence I had something that I thought was a form of ice cream/sorbet but must have been this. It was outstandingly good. It was listed in the guidebook as the best in Florence, and the place was down a series of side alleys. Once found, it had huge queues and was clearly very popular. The chocolate was divine and the Mango very refreshing.
