Rom Houben has been trapped in a series of worst nightmares, including trying for 23 years to alert those around him that he was not in a coma.

What a fucking nightmare. Assisted-breathing is bullshit. I'll check out his book if it gets published and NO that isn't hypocritical.

This appears to be a hoax of facilitated communication .

The video of this case which is on the net is not consistent with the thesis that this man is actually conscious.

I think TYT just got punk'd.

he's NOT conscious. his "facilitator" is doing ALL the communicating. when asked a question his "facilitator" couldn't see or hear, the response was garbage (random letters).

this is a scam with no possible happy ending.
