cbc-Maher Arar was given an international human rights award Wednesday in Washington but he did not accept it in person because of fears that he might be detained again by the United States.

This should go to the top for everyone on this site to see. Or some kind of featured video to call attention to what this poor man went through.

What was his crime? A Canadian citizen tortured for a name misspelling? Locked in that horrible room for how long? Meanwhile, real criminals are running countries around the world, how sad and pathetic. The Bill of Rights was a good idea, just not applicable anymore to US citizens.

Please no responses from false patriots. This man deserves respect and a civil lawsuit against the top people of our government. That IRS bitch should be hung as well. This made me tear up at work. Wake up and see that any American can have this done to them. Go READ A BOOK or two.
