So once there was this video game by Shiny Entertainment called
MDK. It lived up to their company's name, and was a very shiny, silly, and cartoony action/shooter.
You were the hero in a "coil suit" with fancy powers. Your side-kick was a dog with big guns. You parachuted with a few cool-looking ribbons. It was an adventure against powerful aliens, and even the occasional cow.
When you finally get to the last boss in the game, though, it's a heated battle to save your side-kick. You win, save everything... and... this happens.
No warning, just a movie. In black and white. It was live action rubber suits done well, which almost made sense. Then the French music video started, with the bosses from the game playing as the band.
No video game ending will ever come close to this level of strange surrealism again!

codenaziOh yes - apparently the song is "Non Non Rien N'a Change" by Les Poppys, but is performed for this video by Billy Ze Kick.

then
and possibly
when it ended.
Farhad2000Definitely a WTF moment in the past.
The video is mostly made from the intro cinematic to the PS1 version of the game.
